An American actor John Christopher Depp II was born on June 9, 1963. He is a producer as well as a musician. He has been awarded ten Golden Globe Awards. He won one award for Best Actor. For his performance of the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008) he has been selected for three Academy Awards for Best Actor, among other celebrities.

Early life of Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp was born in Owensboro, Kentucky. His mother was Betty Sue Palmer who is a waitress, while John Christopher Depp was his father, a civil engineer.

He and his siblings lived in more than 20 different places, eventually settling in Miramar, Florida in 1970. When Depp was 15, in 1978, his parents divorced. His mother married Robert Palmer after being divorced.

The horror film “A Nightmare on Elm Street” (1984) was Depp's first film. In 1986, he was cast in the lead role of the skating drama Thrashin'. But later, he appeared in a minor supporting role as a Vietnamese-speaking private in Oliver Stone's Vietnam War drama Platoon (1986) other than lead role.
