This includes digestive, immune, and reproductive system responses.

Depression can clear itself in a variety of symptoms, may range from mild to severe. Depression may be mild or severe. Some suffer from major depression over a period of decades. Some symptoms are clinical depression, the term used for more severe and persistent forms of depression, like sadness, problems with sleeping, a loss of interest in normal activities, tiredness, suicidal thoughts and a significant weight gain or weight loss.

Depression can result in emotional eating, in which the need to eat is not associated with physical hunger. Emotional eating is eating in response to emotional hunger. When eating in response to emotions, or soothed by the food as it changes the chemical balance in the brain, it produces a feeling of fullness that is more comfortable than an empty stomach and improves mood through positive association with happier times. Many of person with depression lose both energy and interest. Some are facing, nausea may be a symptom of depression and a cause for loss of appetite.

It's normal to lose a noticeable amount of weight after the stress of changing jobs, divorce, sacking or deprivation.
