These are formed in Golgi apparatus in the process of glycosylation and are important components of plasma membrane in which they extend throughout the lipid bilayer. Lipoproteins are protein complexed with lipids like triglycerides, phospholipids etc. Nucleoproteins are proteins associated with nucleic acids and chromoproteins are proteins associated with pigments eg. Cytochrome, phytochrome.
