World is now dependent on Internet

A naïve person may find it difficult to establish the connection of Internet to education due to our outdated system of education. He may think that in our society education is going well without the use of Internet but the universe is bound to think otherwise.

It is an established fact that the advanced world is now dependent on Internet to forward the process of progress in every walk of life. They think it quite impossible to step ahead in

the activities of their everyday life without the use of Internet.

Education is the especially relevant sphere for the Internet. In our concept of education, the Internet seems irrelevant because our system of education mostly depends upon cramming and tailor-made question-answer formation. But let me say that it is not education. It is only a misuse of potential. The whole world knows that true education is the name of research and research work is not possible without sifting the existent knowledge. Only a few decades ago the scholars throughout the world went through libraries for their research work but now the circumstances have changed. Now let research aside, even education is not possible without the use of the Internet. Internet is the only way to get connected with the world and learn whatever they may offer. Not only this, Internet is the fastest way of sending assignments to the people living in the far corners of the world.

Role of Internet in Education

An interesting point is that till a few years ago, the world was hesitant of using Internet in the final examination. You will be certainly astonished to know that Denmark has become the world’s first country to let its students use the Internet in the final examination. They think that the world is bound to use it sooner or later because you cannot impede the way of this device anymore. And if you do so, you will only put yourself behind the world and surely adopt it at some later stage. I personally do not find any sensibility avoiding the use of Internet for preparing our assignments and other academic pursuits.

Internet and Communication

Knowledge is not a stagnant thing; it always evolves with the passage of time. We can better design its evolution by consulting the most useful means of communication which is Internet.

Curbing backwardness

We are a backward nation but we must not remain backward for a long time. We can avoid backwardness by pacing with the universal trends. We must spend our resources to provide our public the easy accessibility to the Internet so that they may go shoulder to shoulder with the advanced world.

Role of Search Engines

Today, everyone knows the wonders of Google and other search engines. The variety of knowledge that exists on the Internet has no other match. This knowledge can be used for further progress in education, information, and research. But all this is for those who have an acute thirst for knowledge.

I would like to conclude with this advice that for God’s sake recognize this wonder of today because the days have gone when literate was the person who was barely able to write his name; now, in the world of today, illiterate is the person who is ignorant of computer and Internet.
