Gili Trawangan

The Gili Islands are a cluster of 3 tiny islands, situated off the North West shore of Lombok. Despite each island attracting a slightly different kind of traveller, the one thing they do have in common is the mesmerising beaches.

Gili Trawangan is the most popular out of the 3 among backpackers and the place to go if you seek a taste of island life. Days are spent relaxing on one of the many pristine beaches, while evenings are spent enjoying a few Bintangs at the local reggae bar.

You will also want to take to the waters here, where there are world-class diving and snorkeling sites waiting to be discovered. As well as an abundance of marine life, there are also some impressive underwater statues that are a popular attraction among tourists.
