How Much Does The GMAT Test Cost

GMAT Registration and Rescheduling Fees

The registration fee for the GMAT is $250. Students who need to change their test date after registering can do so for an additional fee of $50 if they reschedule more than a week in advance. Students who change their test date less than seven days before the test will be charged an extra $250.

Additional Fees

Students who need additional score reports (Five reports are included with the registration fee.) can purchase them for $28 per report.

If students cancel their GMAT appointments more than a week before their test, they will receive an $80 refund. None of the registration fee will be refunded if students cancel within a week of their scheduled test date.

For any registration services rendered by phone via the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), which administers the GMAT exam, an extra $10 fee is charged.

Payment Methods

Students can pay for the GMAT online by using a credit card or debit card. For payments submitted via personal check, money order, or cashier's check, these special requirements apply:

  • The GMAT Scheduling Form, located on the registration website, must be submitted with the payment
  • Checks must be in US currency and draw from a US bank

While GMAC does not offer a fee reduction directly to low-income students, many higher education institutions have access to vouchers and waivers that can be used to take the GMAT for a reduced fee. Students should check with their academic advisors or the schools to which they're applying to assess a school's ability to help pay for the GMAT exam.
