The New SAT vs Old SAT

Time Limit

In old SAT test, the time for the whole test was 3 hours and 45 minutes. Whereas in new SAT, the total time to complete the test is 3 hours. If you want to take the optional essay section, then 50 minutes will be given.

Change in Subjects

There are four elements in the old SAT test structure. Critical Reading, Writing, Mathematics and essay. Variations take place in the current SAT test format like evidence based reading and writing having sub-topics of the reading test and writing. The language test is also the part of the section. Math and optional essay is in new Format.

Tips to get Prepared for SAT test

• Use the best material from different sites, books and articles.
• Read lot of nonfiction material.
• Do practice of grammar.
• Try to solve the mixed material related to answer/question sector.
• Do the practice of different sections in SAT, try to get grip on time limit
• Use mental quick techniques to solve the math.
