Terrorism is defined as the deliberate use of violence against noncombatants in the name of a political cause or ideology. 9/11 is called the milestone in the history of terrorism. This single incident shook the world. Religious fanaticism is one of the main causes of terrorism across the world. Now powerful nations and groups are using it as a hostile strategy against their rivals.

Terrors has afflicted the world with its dire effects. The effects of terrorism on the future of the world are long-range.

The terrorist activities of the past will generate more terrorism in the future. The tourism, hospitality and travel industry will plummet a great deal. The West will not share its knowledge of science and technology with the developing countries. The economy of the world will experience sharp decline. The security measures will hamper the pace of the life everywhere. The state-sponsored terrorism will touch its zenith. Political groups will regularly hire terrorist organizations for their malice designs. The governments will be destabilized by using the device of terrorism. Terrorists may get control over the nuclear weapons to fulfill their plans. The global stock markets will drop rapidly. The insurance companies will suffer a great loss.

Trade and commerce will have to face a sudden decline. Oil and gas prices will shoot up. Expenses of security will increase manifold. Airline companies will have to bear great loss due to delayed and cancelled flights. Hotel occupancy will fall drastically.

The cost of homeland security and national defense will increase. Unemployment will increase. Foreign investment will decrease. Export import will suffer. Small businesses will be crushed down. Above all, the loss of life will cross the limits. In short, the effects of terrorism on the future of world will be beyond imagination.

Terrorism is a global phenomenon. It cannot be controlled singlehandedly. The advanced countries must burn the midnight oil to devise the effective plans to curb it with the coordination of developing countries which are hardly-hit. The think tanks of the world should resolve this issue and keep the aggressive nations calm to avoid any drastic calamity.
